Why has Belarus not merged with Russia already? It's clear that they are very closely connected as Belarus has helped Russia multiple times in recent conflicts, such as allowing Russian troops to use Belarussian roads and transportation infrastructure, and did I mention that the Belarussian president is literally just a Russian figurehead at this point? Not to mention that Belarus adopted the Russian ruble ALL THE WAY BACK IN 2001 and also formed the Union State, a confederation comprising ONLY RUSSIA AND BELARUS.
My working theory is that the Belarussian populace will just start fucking shit up for Russia in another Revolution, but Russian troops and the Belarus secret police could easily quell that.
Jannies, ban all you want, but I have a valid point.
